Soffe Cup
competition co -leaders Rotokare will be looking for a good win against
Waiwaka on Saturday. They should have Mark and Leith Atkins back in the
team. Waiwaka were missing several players last week and will be a stronger
team this week if the likes of Jordan Stayt, Stuart Wood and Yvonne and
Alison Chamberlain are available. Rotokare have a particularly strong men's
team featuring Atkins, Chris Popata, Mike Roberts and Kevin McLoughlin who
should give their side a strong advantage.
Sandfords
Manaia, competition co -leaders, are favoured on their home courts against
Hooker Pacific Pukekura but Pukekura only lost 7-9 the last time these two
sides met. On that occasion Pukekura picked up two women's singles wins and
two women's doubles wins. They will have to do the same to be in the hunt.
Stratford/MIdhirst
will play their first game at Stratford this season but are not expected to
beat 3rd placed Huatoki whose women will have too much experience against
the young Stratford women.
