Round 4 preview of Tawa Glen Cafe Thursday Premier League, Rotokare 6pm-10pm

Team Koch v Team Pollard
Competition leaders, Team Koch, will be looking to continue their unbeaten run when they take on Team Pollard, who are drifting in 4th place on the table.  Both teams will be at full strength for the tie with Cameron Koch expected to be too good for Ben Pollard in the No.1 matchup.  David Geange at No.2 for Team Koch is one of the finds of the season and he is predicted to continue his unbeaten individual run when he meets Chris Jury.  David Lace will be looking to make it a clean sweep when he confronts Greg Hareb.  The doubles will follow the same thread and it may be a long night for Team Pollard, who may have trouble gaining any victories this week.

Team M.Fleming v Team Mitchell
Team M.Fleming jumped from 2nd last place into 2nd overall with a win last round.  They now get to wrangle with 3rd placed Team Mitchell.  Mike Fleming sets the scene with a prizefight against Graeme Mitchell, who has had more match play and has good results on the board.  Fleming should prevail but expect the result to be fairly close in the single set format.  At No.2, Jaime Simpson will take on Andrew Sangster (Team Mitchell) and this may be the match of the night.  Simpson's form has been steadily improving but Sangster burst onto the scene last week and dominated his opponents in singles and doubles.  Andy Roberts fills in for Team M.Fleming at No.3 and is expected to be too accomplished for Brady Simpson.  All of the doubles matches should be very close and this tie could go either way.

Team Bloor v Team J.Fleming
With Frayne Bloor back from injury and the opposing captain absent, the scene is set for Team Bloor to secure their first win, albeit by a narrow margin.  Frayne Bloor will play Andrew Powell and as long as Bloor is over his injury should be untroubled.  Mike Lace at No.2 has struggled the past two weeks and he encounters a fill-in player he defeated easily in Round 1, Jacob Gopperth.  Lace can expect a much tougher time on this occasion though as Gopperth has got court time under his belt.  The two ladies in the competition, Nicola Irvine (Team Bloor) and Nicole Koch, meet for the first time.  Koch has been in great form and is predicted to win her singles and a doubles match for Team J.Fleming.
