Oakura are the new leaders in the Soffe Cup competition after the completion of the first round.  As expected Oakura were far too strong for Stratford running out the winners 15-1.  This moved Oakura up to 60.5 competition points, two points clear of Huatoki.  Huatoki also had a win this round over Pukekura but not as convincing, winning 11-5.  Completing the matches of this round, Okaiawa/Manaia picked up their first win when they defeated Rotokare 10-6.  Soffe Cup takes a break next week when Taranaki takes on other Tennis Central teams challenging for the Hexagonal trophy in Wellington.
