Kirsten Adam, Mike Fleming and Hamish Mead were the three singles winners for Taranaki.  Taranaki were only able to add 1 more match to go down 20-4.

This Sunday, the Taranaki Tennis Senior RepresentativeTeam travel to Wanganui in the clash for the Christie Cup. The cup is being defended by Wanganui at Wanganui Tennis Club from 9am onwards.

Two juniors will debut for the Taranaki Senior Representative side in the clash.
15 year old Hamish Mead will join the squad at 6 and will possibly pair with veteran Michael Fleming (Pukekura) in the doubles.  Louise Waite  is the other junior. 14 Year old Waite will join the squad at No.2, after gaining a national age group ranking of 5.  

Manaia's Jordan Fleming, Cameron Koch and Nicole Koch will take their usual places in the 1 and 2 for the men and 1 for the ladies respectively.  Ex-Otago & Canterbury tennis rep, Paula Ferguson will make her debut at No.4.  Alesha Ford returns after a long layoff from tennis. 

Wanganui are likely to have a strong squad to defend the cup with their number 1 man & woman, Victor Romero & Paige Hourigan, regular Caro Bowl players.  The team is likely to include current National Maori champ Kyle Butters & professional Emma Hayman.
