Alice Caskey (Stratford Primary) was the best performed of the four Taranaki players in the Central Primary Schools Tournament held at the Renouf Centre in Wellington two weeks ago.  She lost in the final of the consolation singles to Bridget Liddel (Wgtn).

Alice Caskey lost 4-0 4-2 to Paige Hourigan (Wang) in the main draw and then continued in the consolation singles; won 4-2 4-3 against Kaea Smiler (HV); won 4-2 5-3 against Anna McIlraith (Wang); beat Amelia Bowers-Weir (Tki) 4-1 4-0; lost 4-1 4-0 to Bridget Lidell in the final.
Amelia Bowers-Weir (Hawera Intermediate) won 4-2 4-5 10-7 against Roma Donaldson (HV); lost 4-1 5-4 to No 1 seed Kate Farrell (HV).
Consolation singles - won against Maddy Nash (HV) 4-1 4-1; lost 4-1 4-1 to Alice Caskey (Tki)
Sam Brailsford (Stratford Primary) lost 4-0 4-1 to Matthew Welsh (HV), consolation singles lost 4-0 4-1 to Liam Wilby (Wgtn)
Ajeet Rai ( Mangorei) lost 4-0 4-0 to Thom Nguyen (HV), the No 3 seed.  Consolation singles - won 5-4 2-4 7-6(2) to Ethan Thompson (Wang); lost 4-0 4-0 to the winner, Olly Sadler (Wgtn).
