Sanfords Manaia triumphed over AWE Huatoki 9-7 in New Plymouth on Saturday, when they won three of the four combines after being locked up at 6-6. While Huatoki won 3 of the four 4 mens singles, Manaia conversely won 3 of the 4 womens singles while the doubles were shared on either side.  In the No.1 mens singles Jordan Fleming prevailed yet again in style against Huatoki's Jono Ussher 6-3 6-1. Chris Popata similarly won in comfortable fashion 6-0 6-0 over Jacob Gopperth.

In the womens singles, Manaia No.1 Nicole Koch beat Alice Caskey after a tight first set 7-5 6-0.  Sarah Kelly also continued her rich vein of form beating Chris Wilson 6-3 6-3.

In the doubles Ussher and Popata won a close top mens match 6-0 5-7 7-6 (10-5) over Fleming and Gopperth.  In the top womens match Koch and Maree Gopperth beat Alice Caskey and Sophie Robertson 7-6 6-3.

Oakura's Sue Oldfield came from behind to beat Linda Reid in the top womens singles 1-6 6-1 7-6.  Pukekura's Kirsten Adam played very well to win against Miaana Walden 6-4 6-2 in the No.2 match.  Pukekura led 5-2 at the break before taking three of the four doubles and combines.  Callum Old and Dennis Reid had a close win over Steve Novak and Len Adamson 6-2 4-6 7-6, as did Tony Radich and Thomas Brown defeating Tei Walden and Jaden Hareb 4-6 7-5 7-6.  It was a little more straight forward in the womens doubles- Linda Reid and Donna Thorne defeated Sue Oldfield and Miaana Walden 6-3 6-2, and Becky Bruckner and Louise Brankin won against Kirsten Adam and Jeanette Harding 6-1 6-2 for Oakura.

Stumble Inn Waiwaka beat in-form side, Central Finance Rotokare 9-7 at home in the weekend.  In a peculiar set of circumstances three players (two Rotokare members, and one Waiwaka member) were forced to default their matches thus allowing for only 7 matches to be played during the day.  In the mens singles, Mike Lace defeated Blair Crowley 6-3 6-1, while Michael Goulding beat Kyle Crowley 6-4 6-1.

In the womens singles Rotokare's No.1 Karen Cranston beat Krystal Oakes 6-1 6-0.  Tania L'Ami snuck in a 2-6 7-5 7-6 (10-5) win over Michelle Lace at No.2 for Rotokare.  Waiwaka's Sharon Bruce had a close match with Frances Gray winning 3-6 7-5 7-6.  In the sole doubles and combines matches Rotokare won both- Tania L'Ami and Frances Gray defeated Jaydn and Sharon Bruce 7-5 6-1 7-6 in the No.2 ladies doubles, while Kyle Crowley, paired with L'Ami, beat Michael Goulding and J. Bruce 9-3 in the No.3 match.
