Ajeet Rai, age 10, Huatoki, turned in some impressive performances at the recent Auckland Championships 12 Boys competition.

After having a bye in the Round of 64, Rai, seeded 2, won his R32 match 6-3 6-3 over Jack Coman and his R16 match against Sergey Belov 6-4 7-5.  In the Quarterfinal Rai overcame stern opposition in the form of Gregory Vukets, 6-4 6-7(4) 10-8.  In his Semifinal, Rai had an easier time of it, defeating Connor Williamson 6-1 6-3.

In the 12 Boys Final, Rai was in turn overpowered by Mataj Minic, 6-0 6-1.

Ajeet Rai then partnered with Minic for the 12 Boys Doubles.  As top seeds, they didn't drop a set and took out the final over Vukets and Sam Jeffries, 6-3 6-4.
