Rain dominated Round 3 of Soffe Cup with Naki Racquets Pukekura versus Hareb Deken Oakura rain-affected.  Oakura 8.5 Pukekura 7.5 after only 1 match completed.  AWE Huatoki versus Sandfords Manaia was called off after rain soaked courts.

Central Finance Rotokare with better drainage played on to thrash Farmlands Okaiawa 14-2. 

Rotokare No.1 Malcolm Elder was in ominous form easing past Okaiawa No.1 Andrew Powell 6-1 6-0.  Kyle Crowley at No. 2 was made to work hard against Okaiawa's  Mark Laurence, eventually winning 6-4 7-5, while Greg Hareb playing at 3 had little trouble with fellow lefty Okaiawa's Vincent Baylis 6-0 6-2.  No.4 Shane Devlin made short work of Ryan Stockman 6-1 6-2.  In the women's, it was a mixed bag, with Rotokare No. 1 Karen Cranston taking an easy win over Okaiawa's No 1, Amelia Weir 6-1 6-0, who was having her first match back.  At 2, Frances Gray outpointed Michelle Powell 6-1 6-0. Okaiawa fought back with Julie Foley going down 6-1 6-4 to Okaiawa No. 3, Emma Ussher and Debbie Campbell not able to hold out Vicki Roberts.  Roberts taking the match 7-5 6-2.  Rotokare took all the doubles and combines to round off a resounding victory.
