Louise Waite (Pukekura) has finished 4th at the 2012 Slazenger National Championships 12u being held at the Renouf Centre, Wellington.
Waite played off for the 3rd and 4th position when she meet Nina Paripovich (2nd seed for the event).  Paripovich won 6-3 6-3.

Waite and her doubles partner, Georgia Atkinson,  played 1st seeded Janvhi Clark and Paripovich in the doubles final.  The top seeds winning the title 6-4 6-2.

Tim Neild also competed in the boys 12s Nationals.  Neild had an easy first round match, winning 6-0 6-0 over Aushadha Wickremesekera, then was unable to win against 11th seeded Tim Heslin, losing 6-4 6-2.  Neild then was automatically entered into the Consolation Draw and was beaten by his doubles partner Dan Tan (6-4 6-3).  In the doubles Neild and Tan were put out of the championship by Andrew Clifford and Jonathon Sebiston 6-4 6-2.

Louise Waite's great run at the National Championships came to an end in the singles but continues in the doubles.  Valentina Ivanov continued her run in the tournament by accounting for Waite with a straight sets 6-4 6-3 win.
Waite is through to the doubles final, after completing a victory today over Ruby Lawler/Caitlin Ward,  6-2 4-6 10-7.  This is scheduled for 10:30am Wednesday 18th.

Louise Waite (Pukekura) has reached the semi-final stage of the 2012 Slazenger National Championships 12u being held at the Renouf Centre, Wellington.

Waite, ranked 7, had an easy first round match, winning 6-0 6-0 over Scarlet Steel, then a comfortable win over 10th seed Tiana Windbuchler.  Waite then caused the upset by defeating No.3 seed Ruby Lawler 7-5 7-5.
This sets up a meeting with Valentina Ivanov, who herself caused an upset having earlier beaten the No.1 seed. 

Waite and her doubles partner, Georgia Atkinson, have reached the doubles semi-final.
