Manaia juniors dominated the Manawatu Junior Open held in Palmerston North last week.
Nicole Koch was runner up in the 18s girls’
singles, won the 18s girls’ doubles, &
won the 16s girls’ singles and doubles .
Cameron Koch won the 16s boys’ singles, & won the
14s boys’ singles and doubles.
Alesha
Ford was runner up in the 16s girls’ doubles
with N Koch,
was runner up in
the 14s girls’ singles, & won the 14s girls’
doubles.
Shinae Bailey won the 16s
girls’ special plate,
was runner up in
the 16s girls’ doubles, won the 14s girls’ plate,
& was runner up in the 14s girls’ doubles.
In the National Qualifying Tournaments :
Nicole Koch (Manaia), Cameron Koch (Manaia) and Jonothan Ussher (Rotokare) are competing in the 16s this week in Christchurch.
Cameron Koch, Alesha Ford, Shinae Bailey ( all Manaia) and Mark Atkins (Rotokare) are competing in the 14s next week in Auckland.
Alesha Ford and Aled Jones (Hawera), Nikaela Boshier and Jordan Fleming are competing in the 12s which start tomorrow in Hamilton.
The top 32 in the 14s and 16s and top 64 in the 12s qualify for the Nationals in April.
