Maureen Whiting has won the Masters section of the Taranaki Sportsperson of the Year award held on November 30th 2007.  Maureen's children accepted the award on behalf of Maureen, as she was representing NZ at the ITF World Championships in Christchurch.  Husband, Denis, was acting as an official at the games.
