Most interest
in tomorrow's Soffe Cup matches will be the local derby, AWE Huatoki v
Hooker Pacific Pukekura at Huatoki.
Pukekura will
go into the match a favourite after their 16-0 drubbing of Okaiawa last
week.
Their women
don't lose many matches and that is where they will have an advantage over
Huatoki, whose women have not been as consisent. The top match will be
Pukekura's Linda Reid against Saori Han while the No 2 match will be Donna
Thorne against Janice Taylor.
Pukekura's mens'
line-up is unknown but the top match will be Zac Wills against Jonathan
Ussher. Ussher has not been tested so far and is expected to win
comfortably.
Rotokare will
be back in the winner's circle after playing Waiwaka in another local derby
at Waiwaka. In the top match, two teenagers, Mark Atkins from Rotokare and
Jordan Stayt clash. Atkins would be favourite after being in good form this
season.
The No 2 match
should be good viewing with Greg Hareb taking on Stuart Wood and the no 3
match could be Mike Roberts against David Geange with Roberts expected to
win. In the womens' matches Rotokare's Leith Atkins will win hers
against Jayden Bruce and Val McLoughlin should beat Yvonne Chamberlain.
The other two matches could go either way.
Sandfords
Manaia should easily account for Okaiawa at Okaiawa. The top clashes
should be Manaia's Thomas Luxton against Andrew Powell and Nicole Koch
against Joanne Gyde. Manaia's team looks too strong throughout.
