In tomorrow's
Soffe Cup matches, Sandford's Manaia travel to Oakura and will be wary of
the side that drew with AWE Huatoki last week. This could be a tight match
and Oakura will be confident in its own ability. Manaia's No 1 player
is now Jordan Fleming and he is likely to play Aaron Hine, with Hine odds-on
favourite and the No 2 player Jason Mills is likely to make his first
appearance of the season against Josh Walden. Walden ahs been playing
well but Mills should still win.
In the top
women's singles, Manaia's and Taranaki's No 1, Nicole Koch should have
returned from University and will no doubt be too good for Leah Fletcher
while the No 2 Becky Bruckner is favoured against Ginny Death. The
score could well be even after these four matches.
AWE Huatoki is
away to the combined Waiwaka/Stratford /Midhirst side at Waiwaka. They are
likely to have a good win against the sixth placed team. The top men's and
women's singles matches should go Huatoki's way. Huatoki's Jonno
Ussher plays David Innes, Roy Gaskin plays David Chamberlain, Saori Han
plays Krystal Oakes and Janice Taylor will play Alison Chamberlain.
McDonald Real
Estate Matapu are at home to Central Finance Rotokare. They are likely to
find the going tough against a strong mens' line up. In the top men's
match, Matapu's Tom Luxton will find it difficult to beat Chris Popata while
David White will play Greg Hareb or Mike Roberts. Either way the
Rotokare player is favoured.
In the women's
matches, the likely match ups are Matapu's Jen White or Helen Kelly will
play Leith Atkins and in the No 2 match, Helen Kelly or Carolyn Koch will
play Michelle Atkins or Kate Laurenson. Honours could be shared with
Rotokare likely to take out the top match and Matapu the No 2 match.
Rotokare should continue its unbeaten run.
Hooker Pacific
Pukekura has the bye.
